NutZ & BoltZ:

Stack is a killer band. This recording is a great listen with lots of groove oriented twin guitar riffs and solos, heavy rhythm section, and scorchin’ vocals. The songs are well crafted. It’s easy to tell when a band just throws songs together to hurry up a project, but I feel that these songs were well thought out and pains were taken to get the groove on. I found myself bobbing my head as I listened, and to me, if you can’t feel the music, it isn’t worth hearing. My favorite tunes are All Right, Close Your Eyes, I Pray, and Nuthin’.  This is a band that I would pay to see live, and any song on this CD would be a great live song. If you are into riff driven guitar rock, this is your band.

Most Memorable Moment:

I PRAY caught my ear. This song to me is the highlight and is ready for radio.

Artwork & Packaging:

Artwork is pro with a rustic picture on the front cover. The back cover consists of the song titles, producer info, studio used and the usual copyright info. Inside leafs give a few thanks, contact info, website, and some random thoughts. The CD face is printed with an awesome pile of Les Paul guitars. What I did notice is that there is no bar code on this package. Bar coding makes it much easier to sell your product in record stores. May wanna think about that one guys. Another thing that struck me as odd is when I popped this CD into my computer; my Windows Media Player has the artist and songs listed wrong. Instead of Stack it says you guys are an Alternative band called Southern Weather. Check that out and make your duplication company fix that little issue.

Quality of Recording: This cd was recorded at Thundershack in Nashville, TN. The sound quality of this CD is great. All the instruments blend well. It is crankable without distortion, which is always a plus.

Rating: (10 being great, 1 being don’t quit your day job)

Overall an 8. If not for the packaging issues it would have been a 10.  Definitely worth buying.
